Chancroid is a sexually transmitted disease caused by infection of Haemophilus ducreyi.
It is characterized by painful necrotizing genital ulcers that may be accompanied by inguinal lymphadenopathy.
It is a highly contagious but curable disease.
Chancroid infection occurs in two ways:
The skin of a healthy person when touching an infected person’s wound while having sex.
When the pus or fluid that comes out of an infected wound comes in contact with another part of the body or another person, the person also gets a chancroid infection. This type of Chancroid is not sexually transmitted.
Symptoms of chancroid :
Most people with chancroid infection develop symptoms within 3 to 10 days of infection. Some people are asymptomatic.
The most common symptom of chancroid is the formation of painful and reddish lumps in the genital areas, which gradually turn into blisters or open wounds.

Diagnosis of chancroid :

Risk factors Of chancroid :
The number one risk factor for chancroid is through contact with the open Ulcer of a person who has chancroid.
